Nina

Schultz

MA Marriage and Family Therapy, BA Child Development/Teacher Licensure, Level 1 Gottman trained, Tennessee Association of Marriage and Family Therapists

Nina is a Maryville native, a follower of Jesus Christ, and a wife and mother. She spent 22 years in public education as a teacher. Her desire to minister more deeply to families and individuals led her to also pursue her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Johnson University.
Nina’s counseling approach combines a biblical worldview with clinical training, so she is thrilled to partner with the Biblical Counseling Center as a contract counselor. Nina works with women of all ages who are navigating anxiety, depression, stage of life, relationship, and family-of-origin concerns. She also works with couples and has completed Gottman Level 1 training, using research-based tools to help couples improve communication, rebuild trust, and strengthen their relationship.
Nina considers it a great privilege to walk alongside individuals and couples as they seek growth, restoration, and hope. Her desire is to support the work God is already doing in their lives, remembering the promise of Philippians 1:6 that “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
